Garry W O'Neal

Gary Wayne O’Neal at 72 passed away peacefully on March 12,2025 at Franklin Health & Rehab.He was born February 26,1953 in Franklin County. Wayne graduated from Franklin County High School in 1972.. Wayne enjoyed working on cars, fishing, hunting,his speciality was car detailing (if those wheels didn’t shine that car wasn’t clean), Dad was a jack of all trades. Wayne did enjoy helping others when he could and sometimes even when he wasn’t feeling his best.

Wayne worked at Lane Company until 2002, he also worked at Ply Gym driving the tracker trailer truck, as he returned he did what he did best he did side jobs for Mr. Leon.

Wayne survived by his daughters Sonya O’Neal of Chesterfield, VA and Sylvia O’Neal of Roanoke, VA, devoted sister Gerldine (James) Belcher of Glade Hill, VA, Larry O’Neal of Gretna, VA, Clifton O’Neal and Ricky O’Neal of Penhook, VA. Wayne has 8 grandchildren and 8 great- grandchildren.  Predeceased by his parents Grady and Ordie (Poindexter) O’Neal, a grandson Jamal Anderson and a brother Jerry O’Neal.
