Richard Ellue (Dickie) Taylor, 57, transitioned from his earthly home to his eternal home on Friday, October 4, 2024. He was born on August 31, 1967 to the now late Thomas Ellue Taylor and Eassie Mae Taylor.
He graduated from Franklin County High School in 1987. He was a proud member of the Franklin County Eagles Basketball team. Dickie, as we all knew him, was an extremely hard worker. Until his health declined, he worked many long hours at Rockydale Quary, rarely missing a day of work.
Dickie was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother and friend. Dickie became a role model to many Franklin County High School students and developed strong relationships with them during his tenure as an Assistant Basketball Coach. He loved his Pittsburg Steelers and deemed them the best team in the NFL.
Dickie was a member of the Faith Fellowship Baptist Church. He loved attending services there. He would often tell people, “I go every Sunday”.
Dickie was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Ellue Taylor, grandparents, T.W. and Christine Taylor, Harold Poindexter and Curley Tinsley.
He leaves to cherish his memory: two daughters, Brianna(Christian) Witcher and Alisha Ryder; Mother: Eassie Taylor; Siblings: Julia(Clyde) Baker, David(Su) Taylor, Cotina(Timothy) Seay, Donna(Derrick) Simmons, Andre(Tiffany) Edwards and Stephen(Crystal) McGhee; Grandchildren: London Witcher, expecting grandchild,Oaklynn Witcher and Addison Hall. In addition, he leaves devoted friends: Leo Spencer, Lynelle Dillon Lynn Dudinski and a host of other very special relatives and friends.
